Islamabad News: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman and Chief Commissioner of Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, announced the introduction of a permanent monitoring system to deal with encroachments across the city. It is part of the anti-enroachment initiative to recover government land and preserve Islamabad’s natural beauty.

During the high-level meeting in CDA Headquarters, the Chairman announced the launch of the anti-encroachment initiative at the direction of Interior Minister, Moshin Naqvi. The campaign aims to restore green belts, recover public land and preserve Islamabad’s master plan.
CDA to Stop Encroachments Through a Permanent Monitoring System
According to Randhawa, enforcement efforts have already cleared several unauthorized structures in the capital. To prevent encroachments on public pathways, water channels and green spaces, he directed all relevant departments to take swift action.
Islamabad was designed on a well-organized and thoughtful plan. The illegal shops, structures and other encroachments will not disrupt the city’s layout and infrastructure,” he stated.

The CDA will establish a continuous monitoring mechanism to identify and eliminate illegal structures before they become entrenched, Randhawa said.
In addition, the CDA chairman urged the public to report any illegal construction on drains and government property. It is also the responsibility of the Citizens to keep Islamabad clean, safe, and accessible. He encouraged people to cooperate with CDA’s Building Control Departments and Enforcement Directorate.
CDA officials, senior police officers, and administrative heads attended the high-level meeting. They reviewed progress and reaffirmed their commitment to making Islamabad a well-maintained and encroachment-free city.
