Islamabad: On March 9, news sources reported that Capital Development Authority (CDA) has awarded the contract for the development of the newly created Sector E-12/4.

This will be the newest addition to the federal capital’s existing sectors. The CDA requested bids from competent firms for building and civil engineering work in Sector E-12/4’s delineated area. The lowest bid was for PKR 289.81 million, which was chosen.
The contractor firm will be responsible for laying a drainage system, water supply, sewerage network, building linking roads, including major highways, street lighting installation, and other development activities, according to a CDA spokesperson.

Furthermore, development in the different sub of E-12 will continue as planned. According to reports, the CDA invited bids from authorized enterprises in the first week of March, and five companies responded. It’s important to keep in mind that since its beginning in 1989, development activity on Sector E-12 has been stopped. The CDA has just begun development works in accordance with the modified Islamabad Master Plan.
