Multan: The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Multan administration instructed real estate agents to get registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) through a Facebook post shared by the housing society’s official Facebook page.

According to the sources, all the DHA Multan’s dealers must get registered as Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions (DNFBPs) under the Anti-Money Laundering Act 2010. They also mentioned that registration is compulsory for all real estate agents, development authorities, cooperative housing authorities, and housing schemes for the transfer of immovable property.

Violators will be accused under the section of anti-money laundering and terror financing laws. The administration has made it obligatory for real estate agents to register with FBR. This new measure will help eliminate corruption and enable dealers to operate in a safe environment.
