Gwadar Development Authority has announced the end of the ban on all development and construction work within its jurisdiction. The ban has been lifted with immediate effect on 28th of February 2020.
A ban on new building and development projects was imposed a couple of years ago as a result of ongoing revisions to the Gwadar Master Plan. Despite having obtained multiple software licenses to support the mega growth of projects, the power was unable to issue new NOCs due to this ban.
The only option to begin a job in Gwadar was to purchase a GDA-approved job that had obtained a NOC prior to the ban being enforced. That’s why we didn’t observe any new development projects in Gwadar over the previous 3 to 4 decades.
Considering that the new master plan for Gwadar has been confirmed, the ban has been imposed on all types of NOCs for residential, industrial, commercial, and recreational uses, as well as all building and development tasks within GDA’s authority.
