By fiscal year 2023-24, the government aims to generate up to 1.9 million jobs while limiting the budget deficit to 4.4 percent of GDP and raising the country’s economic growth to 5.1 percent.

The total federal spending is expected to be Rs 8.56 trillion, with a deficit of Rs 3.154 billion.
Pakistan’s defense budget is expected to be Rs 1295 billion this fiscal year, rising to Rs1330 billion the following year, Rs 1495 billion in 2022-23, and Rs 1588 billion in FY2023-24.
Next year’s exports are expected to be $25.7 billion, with $27.7 billion in 2022-23. Rs 3.105 trillion has been set aside for interest payment on loans, and Rs 510 billion for running the civil government.
