Karachi: As per the latest reports, the long-awaited Green Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project has been inaugurated by Prime Minister Imran Khan during a long-day visit to Karachi.

During his visit, the premier examined the infrastructure of the bus service and got a briefing about the ticketing system. According to the reports, Green Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project is the first mass transit project of Karachi that will start operation, on a trial run, from Saturday (December 11) till Friday (December 24). The full-scale operation of Green Line Bus Service will start on January 10.

The prime minister, while addressing the audience, acknowledged the efforts of Sindh Infrastructure Development Company Limited (SIDCL) and parliamentarians of Karachi leading to the success of this project. He stated that the Green Line bus service was the first step towards building Karachi a modern city.
