According to reports, the district administration will launch a pilot project to build a one-kilometer stretch of plastic road. Dr. Waqas Cheema of Islamabad was invited by the district administration to give a presentation on the construction of plastic roads.

According to Dr. Cheema, eight different types of plastic will be used to build roads. Plastic will be cleaned and dried before being ground into powder for the aforementioned construction projects. The powder will then be mixed with charcoal and used in the road construction process.
