According to the sources, when the Caretaker Chief Minister was about to depart, some mysterious people gathered around him in a group. Most of them were the individuals accused of assaulting police and LDA officials and causing damage to government vehicles in a recent operation held by prohibited land divisions in the LDA City Housing Scheme.
Following that, the Chief Minister ignored the harassers and moved away. However, the individuals started protesting against LDA’s senior management, arguing with LDA security personnel and threatening to block the main road. Police started an investigation against these people. Many of them managed to escape, highlighting the LDA office’s security lapses.
Moreover, lately, LDA has been facing these security threats. Lawyers forcefully entered the LDA buildings a few months back, attacking staff members. These incidents are enough to raise concerns about the safety protocols of government spaces.
