Pakistan shares a long history of a power outage, as it has a poor electricity infrastructure for the high electricity deficiencies.
On Saturday night, the cities and towns in entire Pakistan were embarked into darkness for a few hours, while following a huge nationwide power blackout.

Although the electricity was restored in a few cities; however, the concerned authorities were eager to know the ultimate cause of the outage, according to the officials.
As per the official authorities, there was a ‘technical fault’ at the Guddu power plant situated in Southern Pakistan’ Sindh province. The power outage’s reason was generated by an immediate fall in the frequency of the power transmission system, which is dropping from 50 to 0 in a minute second.
Further stated, the impact was adverse as the power outage resulted in huge disruptions in various areas throughout the country, particularly at hospitals, as per the latest reports.

Also, the internet connectivity was affected, as users’ connectivity dropped to 62pc of the initial level, as the reports stated. Some social media posts also panicked the people by illustrating that it involves military affairs. However, there was no military involvement but just a power shutdown.
