Karachi: According to news reports, the Green Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project has launched operations at full capacity on Monday. The route between Surjani Town and Numaish Chowrangi will be made easier with the help of mass transportation services.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had already inaugurated the project on December 25, and the service had begun limited operations. The buses now operate 15 hours a day, seven days a week, and charge a minimum one-way price of PKR 15 (maximum: PKR 55).

Asad Umar, the Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, also confirmed the start of the Green Line BRT service on his official Twitter account. He mentioned that the service has 22 stations and 80 buses and that it runs from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Surjani, Abdullah Chowk, Do Minute Chowrangi, Power House, Nagan Chowrangi, Jumma Bazar, Haideri, Board Office, Nazimabad Number One, Sanitary Market, and Numaish are among the bus stations that have been built.
