Islamabad: According to authentic sources, federal government employees have submitted several complaints stating that the authority does not adequately facilitate the employees. As a result, Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has formed a new directive committee to look after housing-related issues of Federal Government employees. The committee will have Federal Secretaries who will supervise the projects under the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) and Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) Foundation.

As per the report, both organizations are undertaking projects plagued with major delays. Because of this, Federal government employees are not being facilitated correctly and in a timely manner. These employees have requested the authorities to take up the matter at the earliest.
Moreover, the committee will schedule monthly meetings in the presence of the Secretary of Housing and Works, the FGEHA Director General, and the PHA Foundation Managing Directors. The management would highlight the details and all necessary pros along with the updated status of the current projects being undertaken by both entities.
Furthermore, both authorities will consult the committee before working on the entitlements of active and retired federal employees. We hope the initiative proves itself as a good decision and facilitates the needs of federal government employees in their housing matter.
