Lahore News: The Federal Government approves two new interchanges to provide a direct motorway link to Ravi City. It is a flagship project of the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RDUA), also known as the Ravi Riverfront Urban Development Project (RRUDP).

Abdul Aleem Khan, Federal Minister for Communications, chaired a high-level meeting at the regional office of the National Highway Authority (NHA). To ensure smooth and efficient connectivity, the meeting focused on aligning the RUDA master plan with national highway infrastructure.

These new interchanges are crucial for Ravi City’s strategic development. Its flagship projects, particularly Chahar Bagh, NMCL and Sapphire Bay, benefit the most.

Ravi City’s Direct Motorway Link via two New Interchanges

The newly approved interchanges will be built on the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway (LSM) Eastern Bypass and Motorway M-2, offering strategic and direct access routes to Ravi City. The Ravi City’s direct motorway link will enhance traffic flow, increase real estate value and support the broader urbanization goals of the project.

Abdul Aleem Khan instructed the concerned authorities to expedite the planning and construction phases of both interchanges. He emphasizes the importance of prompt delivery to support Ravi City’s ongoing development.

Federal Secretary for Communications Ali Sher Mehsud attended the meeting, along with NHA Chairman Shehryar Sultan. RUDA CEO Imran Amin, COO (retd.) Brig. Mansoor Janjua and Abdul Waheed Khan, Executive Director (Engineering), were also present.

This development is part of a broader vision of integrating major urban projects with national infrastructure. The Ravi City’s direct motorway link enhances transit and magnifies RUDA’s Ravi Riverfront development. It is anticipated that enhanced connectivity will improve public access to newly planned urban areas and encourage early-stage investments in RUDA developments.
