The Rawalpindi Metropolitan Corporation (RMC) and District Council authorized housing proposals. Still, the RDA will establish a technical committee to determine whether or not they meet the requirements demanded by the Punjab government.
To determine if all housing societies meet the requirements established by the Punjab government, the technical committee will survey every housing society. For the RDA to issue no-objection certificates, the technical committee will also create terms of reference for certain housing developments.
The governing body also approved the following regulation measures:
- RDA will organize a quick study with the help of a consultant and report the consultant’s recommendations to the governing body. It will assist in regulating unauthorized property conversions
- The RDA will follow the presidential secretariat’s directive to apply the National Highway Authority’s right-of-way procedures that are approved by the RDA’s governing board
- Approval of the preliminary study for the RDA-approved housing development Mohanpura’s categorization, re-classification, and redevelopment in accordance with the process stated in the Punjab Development Authority Land Use Rules 2021
Moreover, RDA has launched a major operation against unlawful housing schemes in its jurisdiction in order to avoid the risk of fraudulent housing schemes. RDA has demolished the three housing scheme structures.
