Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) is ready to initiate an operation against the housing schemes working illicitly or without permission. According to a news report on 11th November 2022, RDA launched its strict jurisdiction policies on November 18.

RDA’s Director General, Mr. Mohammad Saif Anwar Jappa, has taken the initiative to close down all the unregistered housing projects. He ordered the cancellation of illicit residential and commercial projects involving claims of defrauding the citizens. According to our sources, RDA has initiated strict action against the housing schemes violating the Punjab Private Housing Scheme Rules 2021. To accomplish this task, teams of RDA will accompany respected police stations. The RDA teams at the subdivisions of Tarahia Gorakhpur Road have already taken down two illicit housing schemes.

Concerned authorities have divulged the first information reports (FIRs) against these residential projects. The Lahore High Court (LHC) took a step forward, demanding strict action against all the unregistered housing schemes in Punjab. LHC also instructed the concerned developers to add a QR code to each project.
