Lahore: The Punjab government has notified Rs 1.5 million monthly salary package for the newly-appointed chief executive officer (CEO) of the Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) with effect from Feb 18.
The issue also triggered a debate on social media about the way of appointment, advertisement, salary package, etc, that the appointment violates the management position (MP) policy-2020 of the federal government that is also adopted by provincial governments in hiring the professionals in MP grades.
According to the housing department secretary, the recruitment of the CEO is underway these days.
However, in December 2018, the apex court restrained NAB from recovering salaries from the Punjab Safe Cities Authority managing director and the chief operating officer who had filed a petition seeking review of an earlier order of the court regarding recovery of the amount they received above and beyond their regular salaries.
