Islamabad: According to a news report published in the main newspaper on May 11, the civic agency intends to build the second-largest park in Zone-III, north of Sector D-12 along Margalla Road.
According to the facts, the Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) Environment Wing and Revenue Directorate have begun erecting land markers. According to a CDA environment official, the administration has decided to use 2,000 Kanal (of the 4,000 Kanal vacant land) in Zone III.

Furthermore, the source stated that the federal government has requested that the city managers establish a new park to better residents’ recreational amenities. He also stated that the park would cover 155 acres, making it the second-largest in the country. Fatima Jinnah Park (F-9 Park) is the capital city’s largest park, spanning over 750 acres.
The Revenue Directorate officer reported that the land demarcation was done. The area has been handed up to the Park Directorate following land demarcation. He claimed that 400 border pillars had been placed throughout the park.

According to reports, the civic agency has asked the concerned department to prepare PC-1 for the park and, once approved, to begin the tendering process. The park will have a horticultural area, jogging tracks, multi-purpose sports facilities, and a play area for children.
