Rawalpindi: The reconstruction of seven temples, spread over an area of 1 km, which will be added to the PC-I for the Sujan Singh Haveli initiative, said retired Capt Mohammad Mehmood.

He attended a briefing to address Sujan Haveli and Bhabra’s food street ventures at the Rawalpindi Metropolitan Corporation (RMC).
Furthermore, Mr. Mehmood stated that seven temples around Sujan Singh Haveli will be listed and renovated, while details on their historic status will be seen at a prominent spot.
RMC President Ali Abbas Bukhari, Metropolitan Officers and a representative of the United Nations Development Fund (UNDP) were also present there.

Mr. Mehmood said, apart from that, a survey found eight old buildings around Sujan Singh Haveli with antique windows and doors. The edifices of these buildings would also be returned to their classic design, which will raise the cost of the Rs5 project to Rs6 million, he emphasized.
According to the UNDP report, some people have even renovated their homes to their original state, including old structures.
