Islamabad: On Tuesday, a meeting was held between Syed Amin Ul Haque, Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, and a delegation of Chinese Group Sunwalk led by Chairman Hou Xingwang. In a meeting, both parties discussed the telecom collaboration between the two countries. The Chinses delegation expressed its interest in investing $2b in the telecom sector of Pakistan.
In addition, Sunwalk Chinese Group has already invested $5 million and aims to extend the budget up to $2b more. The budget will cover a project of installing an optical fibre web, which will be spread over an area of 100,000 km.

Sunwalk (Pvt) Ltd is a Chinese company that established numerous telecom and communication infrastructure projects in China. The company is working in the telecom and technology sector in Pakistan. Sunwalk has already made an investment of $5 million in the fiber optical sector.
The meeting was organized between the Chinese delegation and Syed Amin Ul Haque, Minister for IT and Telecommunication. In a meeting, the delegation raised the challenges of installing optical cables between railroad tracks, motorways, and motorways.
