Peshawar: According to our sources, Monday, 10th January, Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)’s irrigation department make a decision to convert the water supply schemes onto the solar power system. For this, Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is signed between two entities.

There were the reports the funds to solarize. It will provide by European Union’s Grant Community Development Project that is an international Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). It works for the development of local communities. The MoU signs an event that was attended by secretary of irrigation Idress Khan

Asian Development Bank (ADB) with KP, has signed a MOU with KP for giving USD 350 million to develop the three sewerage treatment facilities, the rehabilitation of defective tube wells, and also two clean water treatment facilities.
