Lahore News: The Punjab Excise, Taxation and Narcotic Control (ET & NC) Department offered a 5% discount on property tax. This special offer is valid across the province for the entire Fiscal Year 2025-26. The discount applies to those taxpayers who clear their dues by 31 August 2025.
The department also offers a 10% discount on vehicle token tax, apart from the property tax relief. This initiative encourages early payments and reduces the burden on taxpayers.

The offer is only valid for a limited time, so property and vehicle owners are encouraged to take advantage of it. According to Rawalpindi Division’s Excise and Taxation Director, Imran Aslam, the distribution of PT-5 challans for property tax has already begun. These challans are being delivered to taxpayers’ registered addresses.
Punjab Excise Department Offers 5% Discount on Property Tax
Those who do not receive their challan for any reason can obtain duplicates at the nearest excise office. Additionally, the Rawalpindi excise office has set up a facilitation desk to assist individuals. Citizens can generate PSIDPs (Payment Slip IDs) through this desk.
However, the individuals can generate PSIDPs themselves and pay tax directly through their mobile phones via the banking platforms.

Property taxes do not apply to properties valued up to PKR 5 million according to the District Collector (DC) rate. Officials have warned that failure to pay property tax by 31 August will result in a surcharge, and enforcement measures will begin shortly thereafter.
Failure to pay the token tax within the due date is punishable by sealing properties and impounding vehicles. By making timely payments, all eligible taxpayers can take advantage of the discounts and avoid penalties.
